A modern breed of Catboat

A few short years ago, Clark Mills was casting about for a new idea in a shoal daysailer that would rig and sail easily, quickly and comfortably. It would also need to gracefully accommodate his family and friends. Clark began to focus on developing a new "modern breed of Catboat."

The Sun Cat was designed as an easily driven roomy dayboat and overnighter with a shoal draft to gunkhole along the coasts and in harbors not accessible to more burdensome yachts.

Outfitted with the same Mastendr quick-rig sailing system and a stainless steel centerboard/trunk assembly installed in a shoal draft ballasted keel, the Sun Cat will provide endless hours of convenient trailering and low-maintenance enjoyment.

Individuals who appreciate timeless design and quality fabrication, who wish to explore coastal waters and quiet creeks, who demand more-than-normal value from a yacht, will warmly relate to the "new tradition" that the Sun Cat brings.
