Accommodations

The feeling of bright, open spaciousness and a natural flow throughout is conveyed immediately upon entering the interior.  The elegant owner's stateroom forward spans the entire beam of the yacht and features a large offset double berth.  A bureau with generous storage bins, a large cedar lined hanging locker and deep storage drawers will make one feel right at home. The private forward head includes a large wraparound countertop, stainless steel sink, storage, and separate vanity table.  The luxurious shower area includes a large teak seat and pull around curtain.  The inviting main salon features full length settees (starboard slides out to double berth), a large dining table which folds up against the bottle and glass rack, bookshelves, and cabinets.  Next aft, the nav station is well organized and features an armchair that swivels, a wide nav table with hinged top and a stowage tray below.  Additional storage cabinets and draining wet locker outboard combine to make this area convenient and functional.  A molded slip-resistant sole is provided in the galley, companionway, nav and head areas for improved footing, while the salon and staterooms have varnished teak and holly soles.  The big galley wraps around and aft to starboard with high pressure laminate surfaces and teak sea rails on all edges.  The aft head provides particularly nice facilities for guests and general use and is easily accessed from wither the aft cabin or the main salon.  The roomy aft stateroom has private access from the companionway area.  Cedar lined bureau compartments, hanging locker, and dressing seat make this an inviting suite for guests.

Galley

Tankage and storage on the 45' Island Packet is exceptional. All tanks are centrally located below the cabin sole, benefiting stability and interior storage space elsewhere in the yacht with minimal effect on trim. Every detail, from the geared rack and pinion steering system to the swedged and threaded fuel hose fittings, is carefully chosen for its important contribution to long term quality and reliability. Numerous details like magnetic reed bilge pump switches and thru-bolts with lock nuts on both seacocks and prop shaft couplings typify the approach to building every aspect of an Island Packet. Heavy duty, high output alternator with Digital Duo-Charge controller, premium pre-tinned wiring, and large capacity absorbed glass mat (AGM) batteries reflect the many quality features built into the 45' IP that help ensure the owner years of comfortable, trouble-free cruising.
