AWAYWEGO was the first in a series of 46’ Pilothouse designs from Tayana.  As the first model the company spared no expense and added every factory option.  She was then sailed to all the major boat shows and to date 10 boats have been built.  AWAYWEGO lacks nothing, most of her gear is dual and redundant and everything was the best equipment available for installation at the time.  Very rarely do we see such well equipped and thought out yachts.  Ready to go Cruising.

A few updates from the owner…

 Autoprop propeller new 2014

Hotwater heater new 2016

GPS unit new  2016

Simrad AIS added  2009

Transformer for 200 volt European power added 2009

Inside boat everything is US 115 VAC or 12 VDC

Scattered around inside boat are blocks of (4) power outlets.  (2) for 115 VAC and (2) 12 VDC

There are (6) fenders plus one ball

The aft head is no longer electric.

The Gunert refrigerator and freezer are the utectic salt block type.

The  SS Manship deck hatches are impressive.

The (2) SS sea water chests are also impressive.  Each feed (4) outlets therefore avoiding (6) thru hulls.

 Comments Form the Owner
