Mainship Motor Yachts

Mainship Trawlers began life as a part of the Luhrs Group with production based in Florida.

They also produced the Silverton, Hunter, and Luhrs brands of boats. The company sold recently, is now a part of the Marlow-Hunter group and is actively producing five different models, the 355 and 389 Pilot and the 395, the 414 and the 479 trawlers.

To gauge how successful the Mainship brand is one need only go to the brokerage boat market where one will find some 570 Mainship boats currently for sale, ranging from the 48’ Mainship 430 cruiser and the 48’ Pilot Downeast to the 30’ diesel driven Pilot. Whether fishing or cruising, these boats are economical to run and provide a comfortable ride. Models include the Sedan, the Rum Runner, Trawlers, Aft Cabin Motor Yachts and the Convertible.

The 34 Mainship built in 1998, "Beach House" that we have for sale in San Diego provides loads of living space for a yacht in this size. She has the feel of the interior volume of many 40’ ers and boasts double berths in both staterooms and both heads contain separate shower stalls.

With a reputation over the years (the first Mainship was introduced in 1978) for delivering great value earned by incorporating  low cost production methods and with a policy of including an extensive list of standard equipment with each model the company continues to manufacture affordable trawler-style cruisers from 30 – 47’.
