Overview

Always admired at the dock for her classic lines

Highly respected for her speed under sail

This Alerion "Bella" has a unique history as the first owner was a world famous TV Producer

The current owner a British ex yacht building company owner.

The current owner with his vast experience chose the Alerion as the perfect day sailer and short distance cruiser. Easily single handled with the self tacking Hoyt boom and all lines leading back to the cockpit. Needless to say, but the current owner has brought the yacht up to a very high standard throughout. Always kept under the easily removed custom canvas deck cover to protect the varnish work.

Description

Sailboats are by nature graceful, and many claim to please your eye. But the Alerion Express 28 is consistently recognized as one of the prettiest boats on the water. That she also has a thoroughly modern underwater shape simply adds to her luster.

A maximized cockpit and cabin makes the Alerion Express 28 the perfect cruising yacht for you and your spouse – for weekend adventures or just a spur of the moment evening or after work sail.

By preserving the traditional look topside, where it shows, and giving the hull a modern design below the waterline, the Alerion Express 28 offers the best of both worlds: great style and great performance along with the pride and admiration they bring.

A very manageable sailplan with a self-tacking jib boom is easily single-handed. And even the most die-hard racers speak of how beautifully balanced and delightful the Alerion Express 28 is to sail.

With more than 450 boats sailing worldwide, the Alerion Express 28 is by far the most popular of all the modern daysailers. Designed in 1990 by Carl Schumacher, the AE28 was the first model to start this trend.
